Shore excursions

The Italian peninsula, also known as the "boot" or "beautiful country", thanks to its strategic location in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, has always been a major attraction for the cruise ship and its passengers.

Different cruise lines sail the sea and docking in major Italian ports during the summer in order to enable its customers to enjoy, albeit with a very limited time, the beauties that "the beautiful country" offers.
To ensure that this short time that you have is not wasted, we decided to assist in major ports: Livorno (the port of Florence), Civitavecchia (the port of Rome), Naples or Sorrento. We have custumized some tours for you.
Let the thoughts and problems on the ship, sitting in a comfortable sedan or minivan we will bring you to discover some of the wonders that Italy and your day will be something to add to the most beautiful memories of your cruise.

Naples and Sorrento

Our driver will meet you at the port where you dock, Naples Sorrento or Amalfi. Together, according to your desires, you will first go visiting Pompeii, one of the most important and known sites all over the world.

Here, you will start discovering the ancient ruins through a 2 hr walking tour led by a full authorized local guide.

We will then drive you along one of the most beautiful coasts, where you will admire spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast before reaching Positano, known as the "romantic town", where you can take a nice walk through the little alleys filled up with local people, local smells and colours till reaching the beach where you can have a gorgeous view of the little village from the bottom to the top and, why not?, enjoying also a nice lunch ocean view!.

After Positano, according to the time, you will keep driving on the Amalfi coast either to reach others little villages or to go back to the ship, not before having had a very tasting and refreshing lemon slash!!!

Civitavecchia

Our driver will meet you right at the port of Civitavecchia( the port of Rome for cruise ships) for a private car tour in a comfortable sedan or minivan, according how many people your party is, to discover the city of Rome. You will visit the main sites such as the Coliseum, Venezia square and its "wedding cake", the Capitol hill ,Navona square, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and more or if you like, just before ending the day starting the drive back to the port, the Vatican museums with the outstanding Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo and the magnificent Basilica of St Peter.

Livorno

Our driver will meet you just outside the ship holding a sign with your name on it and from there your daily adventure will start.
After a drive of approximately 45 minutes you will arrive in Pisa, the city of the Leaning Tower!!
In Pisa, after the driver gives you a general introduction to the city, the tower and the cathedral, you will have enough free time to visit all of them and in case you like also to climb the tower.
After Pisa, it s time to start hitting the road towards Florence where you will arrive in 1 hr and 15 minutes, depending on the traffic.
Here, with the help of your driver, who will be happy to give you all the information about, you will visit some of these unforgettable places such as Signoria Square, the Basilica of Santa Croce, the Duomo and the Baptistery, Ponte Vecchio, Piazzale Michelangelo with his breathtaking view of the city and of course the Accademia museum, where you will admire the "David",the most known masterpiece of Michelangelo.
In between, you will have time to do some shopping and/or to visit the most famous Leather School of the city, if you like, and of course to enjoy an authentic Tuscan Lunch in one of the several small local places. Your driver will be happy to suggest you, in case, one of these tipical Florentine restaurants/trattorias where you can get some energies back in order to continue the tour of the city.
Before starting the drive back to the ship, there is no better way to end up the day than stopping in one the local "gelateria" where you can taste the phenomenal Italian gelato!!
